Castle Tankard is one of the biggest horse racing competitions in Zimbabwe each winter. Beer lovers, fashion fiends, punters, music fans from around the country flock to the heart of Borrowdale, Borrowdale Race Course to see top artists from all genres perform live- and of course to take part in the biggest horse racing event.
With so many people from all walks of life in attendance, the major highlights are also the best fashion trends. Big shout to yours truly, Edgars!! With two words Stylish and Glamourous infused in our DNA we got the opportunity to dress up the thirty –eight (38) Castle Tankard Preliminary Competition winners.
Apart from dressing up the winners, we continued to turn heads in what we will dub “fashion`s biggest day out’. In true Edgars culture we partnered with Laurie MacPherson from Own your Rubbish to make a beautiful fashion statement in upcycled bespoke tuxedo and gown.
In line with the event the amazing pieces were made absolutely from recycled materials (castle lager bottle caps, used cans).The message behind the upcycled bespoke outfits is about finding ways to infuse eco-friendly methods into our daily lifestyle.
These chic and glamourous upcycled fashion designs are here to showcase that recyclable clothing can be just as stylish as any other haute couture label and a great way to help out the planet.
