  • Chesternoel Mutevhe - Group Chief Finance Officer

    Chesternoel brings with him a wealth of experience in the FMCG sector having worked for CFI Holdings Limited as Group Finance Director for 7 years. Prior to that he held the positions of Group Company Secretary, Group Treasurer and Group Financial Controller. In addition, he headed the property development outfit for the CFI Group. His most recent assignment was as head of finance in Zimbabwe for Karo Platinum. Chesternoel is a qualified realtor and Chartered Accountant, having trained with Deloitte. Chester is married to Grace and they have three children, two boys and a girl.

  • Sevious Mushosho - Group Chief Executive Officer

    Sevious is a Fellow Chartered Accountant Zimbabwe with over 20 years of multinational experience in cross-functional management, financial management, audit, insurance, banking, retail and distribution. Mr Mushosho has worked at executive level in various companies in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mauritius, including Sub Sahara Capital Group, Distribution Group Africa, AfriAsia Holdings limited and Innscor Africa among others. He has been on the Board since July 2022 as a Non-Executive Director, from May 2023 he was appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer and effective 1 November 2023 he was promoted to Group Chief Executive Officer.

  • Peter Mnyama [BCom Marketing; Executive Development Diploma (ICAZ)] - Executive Director - Retail and Manufacturing

    A career fashion retailer with over 25 years' experience, Peter joined the Group as Merchandise Trainee back in 1998. He rose to Group Merchandise Controller in 2004 and later became Express Merchandise Executive. He later moved to Edcon in South Africa in 2008 and later returned to Zimbabwe as the Marketing and Sales Executive for Carousel Private Limited in 2013, a role he kept until 2016 when he became Merchandise Executive for the Jet Chain. In 2020 he became the Jet Chain Managing Director and then moved to become Edgars Chain Managing Director in 2022. In 2022 November he was promoted to Executive Director – Retail and Manufacturing. Peter holds a BCom Honours degree in Marketing, an Executive Development Diploma from ICAZ and a number of Planning and Management Development qualifications.

  • Mbengeni Mabidi [BSc Mathematics and Computer Science (UZ), Post Grad Diploma in Management (NUST), Diploma in Accounting and Business (ACCA), MBA in Strategic Management (NUST)] - Jet Chain Managing Director

    Mbengeni heads the Jet Chain Division, having joined the team in July 2022. A career retailer with more than 17 years of experience, joined the group from a retail (a Spar Franchise) and wholesale outfit called N&R Enterprises, where he was a General Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science (UZ); a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (NUST); a Diploma in Accounting and Business (ACCA) and MBA in Strategic Management (NUST).

  • Sibusisiwe Rugwevera [MBA (NUST), ICAZ Executive Development Programme Certificate (Pathways Africa)] - Chief Human Resources Officer

    A well-grounded, accredited, and passionate Human Capital Generalist with excellent interpersonal skills and a great attitude, Sibusisiwe Rugwevera (Busi) is a problem solver who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Busi is an enthusiast of lifelong learning, best practice, and continuous improvement, and believes that maintaining an openminded attitude brings a sense self-renewal both at individual and organizational level.  

    In addition to her first degree from the University of Zimbabwe, Sibusisiwe holds a Strategic MBAdministration from NUST, which she accomplished with a book prize (2021). She also holds an ICAZ Executive Development Programme certificate facilitated by Pathways Africa, among other various professional Diplomas.

    Sibusisiwe is an active member of the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe at Chartered Human Resources Practitioner level. Her membership of the Institute of Directors (Zimbabwe) IoDZ, provides her with a dynamic toolkit for organizational proficiency in ethical leadership among other several benefits.

     

    Busi's work experience, which cuts across Operations and Human Resources, has nurtured her into a diligent, sincere, and resilient leader with an unquestionable ability to strike a balance between business and Human Capital needs.

  • Menfree Tanyanyiwa [BSc General (Mathematics & Statistics) (UZ), BSc Special Honours in Statistics (UZ), MBA (NUST)] - Managing Director – Carousel Manufacturing

    Menfree Tanyanyiwa heads Carousel which is the Manufacturing Division of the Group. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of Carousel, Menfree held several portfolios in the Merchandise department which include Merchandise Executive roles in both the Edgars and Jet chains. He has been with the group for over 26 years, of which 19 years has been in the merchandise department. Menfree holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics (UZ), Bachelor of Science Special Honours degree in Statistics (UZ) and a Masters in Business Administration degree (NUST). In addition, he also holds Management diplomas including an Executive development programme from Gibbs Institute (SA).

  • Pathiso Ncube [MSc Finance and Investments, B Com (Hons) Finance & IOBZ] - Managing Director – Club Plus & Financial Services

    Pathiso, an investment banker by profession, leads Club Plus Microfinance and Financial Services. She joined the Group in 2015 as the Financial Services Manager before becoming Operations Manager at the formation of Club Plus in 2017. Pathiso holds more than 12 years in banking and financial services field. She has previously worked for NUST and ZB Financial Holdings, among others.

  • Alexander Timburwa - Group Financial Services Executive

    As Head of Financial Services Division, Alex focuses on the Group's retail Credit Sales profitability and growth through, Credit Policy strategy, Credit Risk Management, New and Existing Credit and Financial Services Products offering.

    Alex joined Edgars in November 1993 as a Credit Clerk having served as Air Defense Command and Control Officer at the Airforce of Zimbabwe. At Edgars, he has virtually become a career Credit Management man where he has risen through the ranks, moving between, Retail Management, Systems and Financial services Management. In 2015, he was elevated to Group Credit Controller, a role he held until his latest appointment to Group Financial Services Executive with effect from 1st July 2020. He has built a practical wealth of experience in credit management having served the group for 30 years to date. As the head of Group Credit, Alex also a member of the Edgars Executive Committee.

  • Justina Machinya [BSc Economics] - Marketing and Corporate Affairs Executive

    With over 20 years' experience in various industry environments including the Insurance sector, NGO, Manufacturing and Fuel retail sectors, Justina has risen up the ranks and gained comprehensive knowledge and experience in various fields such as marketing, public relations, client relations management, strategic employee benefits management and business development. She is a holder of a BSc Degree in Economics and is currently studying towards a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with NUST. She is a member of the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe and holds several qualifications in leadership and employee benefits management.

  • Mbuso Ndlovu - Chief IT Officer

    Mbuso is the Chief IT Officer. He has over 20 years' experience in the IT and business systems profession and has worked in several companies in Zimbabwe. Mbuso joined Edgars in October 2011 and has spearheaded the updating of the systems and technologies of the Group and its Divisions since then.
